Summary

The National Accounts Representative is responsible to strengthen and enhance the customer base of our National accounts by implementing sound marketing and customer service principles to sell ATS Flats service to potential customers and serve as liaison between the customer and ATS operations staff.

 

Education and Experience

  1. Higher education (i.e., two- or four-year degree) and/or equivalent 1 or more years’ experience in related field preferred but not required.
  2. Strong working knowledge of marketing, sales, and customer service principles.
  3. Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
  4. Strong Interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills when working with internal and external customers.
  5. Ability to analyze data and situations and problem solve in a timely manner.
  6. Creativity to brainstorm and propose new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) phone usage and 10-key.
  8. Sound decision making while achieving results in a fast paced environment.
  9. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to the present situation in a professional manner.
  10. Self-motivated and takes initiative to drive for results and persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Sell ATS services to potential customers.
  2. Contact existing or inactive customers to sell ATS services to them through inside sales efforts (i.e., telemarketing, written correspondence).
  3. Qualify new customers by matching ATS and customer needs (geographic, products, objectives, etc.).
  4. Enter and record all terms and conditions of sales/loads (i.e., load specifications, negotiated rates, dates) in the computer system.
  5. Provide professional, courteous customer service by serving as a liaison between customers and ATS operations.
  6. Communicate with the Sales Manager to assess and distribute current information on the development and needs of customers.
  7. Communicate with dispatchers to provide information on the current service needs of customers.
  8. Obtain credit approval on customers' loads by verifying current credit status and working with the credit department as needed.
  9. Communicate with customers and ATS personnel to answer questions, and investigate/resolve problems as needed.
  10. Perform responsibilities within budget parameters established for the department.
